Copyright 2013 Jason Barnette The Sycamore Shoals State Historic Area Interpretive Museum was opened on June 29, 2013 after nearly 30 years of development. The museum uses large murals, text boards, mannequins, and artifacts along with audio and a 15-minute video to tell the history of the region from the earliest settlers to the creation of the state.
