The Skirmish at Gamble's Hotel - Barn Dance
The Skirmish at Gamble's Hotel was reenacted throughout Saturday and Sunday, March 5 and 6 by dozens of reenactors at Rankin Plantation in Florence, South Carolina.
But on Saturday night, the reenactors, sutlers, organizers, and families were treated to something entirely different: a barn dance, in a barn! Authentic period music was provided by The Crescent Moon Rounders, punch provided, and several dances performed. Everyone came out dressed in period-specific clothing for the event, making it an instant photographic sensation.
