Copyright 2013 Jason Barnette Each year the Fields-Penn House 1860 Museum, owned and operated by the town of Abingdon, hosts a contest for various local businesses and organizations. The businesses and organizations decorate Christmas trees and the rooms in which they are placed. As people visit, they have the option to leave nonperishable items as a way to vote for their favorite tree. All nonperishable items are then donated to the Ecumenical Faith in Action Stone Soup Kitchen.
