Motorcyclists ride The Back of the Dragon between Marion and Tazewell, this photo taken in Marion, VA on Saturday, May 24, 2014. Copyright 2014 Jason Barnette - Photo Image I wanted to capture a single photo that showed just how many motorcyclists ride The Back of the Dragon on a beautiful summer day. However, I realized even if I sat there all day and capture a single photo of an enormous single group of riders, it would still not convey just how many ride the route daily. So I decided to capture a series of approximately 100 photos over the course of an hour and created this composite image. All these photos were taken on the same day during a single hour while the sun was in the best position.
