R. and Susan S. Goode Railwalk is a pedestrian walkway that runs from Market Street to Warehouse Row along the railroad tracks in downtown Roanoke. It opened in 1882 when 25 "Hucksters", or vendors, were granted licenses to sell their goods. Today, the market spans two streets and Market Square, operates seven days a week year-round, and fills with vendors and shoppers on the weekends.
